This last year, things weren't going too well for me. I'd arrived to Australia and the airport staff had also lost my packs. I was very upset and scared at the same time. Then I got to my new residence in the University and my room partner was really rude and the room looked grouse. So I spent a lot of time trying to change from my room.

Everything changed for me the day I saw a tall boy with dark hair and blue eyes. From that moment my world had changed, he was perfect. Then I started meeting him on the University cafeteria until the day of my life arrived. He asked me to be his girlfrind.

These months, I feel much happier. Being with him by my side had made me see that sometimes you are happier if you are positive. If I hadn't moved to Australia, I'd never met the man of my life.

General Maximus Decimus Meridius leads the Roman army to a decisive victory against the Germanic tribes on the frontier, ending a long war on the Roman frointier and winning the favor of Emperor Marcus Aurelius. The emperor is already old and dying, and although he has a son, Commodus, he asks Maximus to succeed him as a regent and turn Rome back into a republic. The emperor speaks with Commodus afterwards and explains his decision, but Commodus reacts by killing him and caiming the throne.

Maximus manages to escape his own execution by Praetorians and races back to his home in Spain, but he finds his wife and son already dead. A slave caravan passes by and captures Maximus, assuming that he is a deserter. Maximus is forced to fight in local tournaments, and he wins every match. He makes friends with other Proximo's gladiators. His successes allow Proximo to bring the team to the Rome Colosseum. Proximo explains to Maximus that he was himself a gladiator whio fought well enough in the Colosseum to win his freedom, granted to him by Marcus Aurelius himself.

Commodus, desperate to get Maximus out of the way and to restore his own glory, arranges to duel him. Before the fight begins he stabs Maximus in the back, leaving him severely weakened. During the fight, Maximus still manages to dodge Commodus' blows and disarm him. Commodus asks the orders them not to. Commodus produces a hidden stiletto, but Maximus turns the blade back into Commodus' throat, killing him.

Maximus succumbs to the stab wound and dies, asking with his last words that the Roman Republic be restored and that the slaves be freed. As he dies, he has a vision of walking through a field of grain and being finally reunited with his wife and son. Lucilla has the body of Maximus carried out for an honorable burial while the crowd stands in respect. Some time later, Juba revisits the Colosseum at night, and he buries Maximus' two small figurines of his wife and son at the spot  where he died. He promises that he will see Maximus again, "but not yet".

On Sunday 13 April, more than 35,000 people will run through the streets of London for the 34th London Marathon.

The London Marathon is a flat course around the River Thames over a distance of 42,195,m. There are different starting points, but all of the courses join up and all runners finish on The Mall, by St James's Park.

The London Marathon is the largest fund raising event in the world. Participants have raised 800 million euros for charity since 1981. Around 80 per cent of runners run for charity, often wearing fancy dress. In 2011, one runner raised 2.8 million euros: that's a lot of money!

Some runners make money from the Marathon. Prizes start at around 730 euros for twelfth place and can go up to 40.000 euros. Winners can also get big bonuses if they break a record.

British runner Paula Radcliff holds the record for the fastest women in the London Marathon: two hours, 15 minutes and 25 seconds. Emmanuel Mutai from Kenya, holds the men's record: 2 hours, four minutes and 40 seconds.

One Englishman took five days, eight hours, 29 minutes and 46 seconds. He wore 50kg diving suit and shoes weighing 11kg each!

In this photo, the runners are near the end of the Marathon. They are passing in front of Buckingham Palace and running down The Mall. The flags and palace inspire them to make an extra effort before the finish line.

My trip to Italy was amazing, we visited a lot of things and we had a lot of fun too.

On the first day, I woke up at 4:00 am, because I had to be in school at 4:45 am. We went to Girona airport and we took a plane from Ryanair at 7:05 am. When we arrived in Pisa at Galileo Galilei airport around 8:35 am we took a bus which took us to the train car bully. This little train led us to “Piazza del Miracolo”. There, some mates wanted to climb the Tower of Pisa, and the other ones we stayed there and we took a lot of photos, like the tipical, holding the tower. We visited the Duomo and the Baptistry, it was quite good and interesting. When we finished the visit, we went to lunch in a Restaurant called “Trattoria del Turista”, and after that, we took a bus which took us to Florence. Before entering the city, we visited a viewpoint called “The viewpoint of Michelangelo”. When we stayed installed on the hotel we made a walk around the center, and for ending a long day, we had dinner in the restaurant called “Antico Barile”.

On the second day, we had breakfast early and we visited the Ufizzi Gallery at 9:45 am. It was nice but maybe a little bit bored because there were too many paintings and works. After that we visited the Santa Maria del Fiore cathedral inside. We had free lunch, so we went to a tipical pizzeria and we had some pizzas, they were very good. In the afternoon, the first thing we visited was the academy, where the David of Michael Angelo is located. When I came across with that sculpture I was amazed. It is enormous and it seems impossible to do that sculpting. After this visit, we came back to Santa Maria del Fiore and the teachers asked us who wanted to climb the dome and it has around 500 steps. It was optional but they convinced me and I climbed the dome. When I got up, it was worth the effort. For me it was the most amazing thing of this trip, we could see all Florence. It was just incredible.

On the third day, we prepared the luggage and we went walking to the Santa Maria Novella station. We took the fast train towards Rome, and when we arrived there, we went directly to leave the luggage in the Hotel Noto. We went to have lunch in a restaurant near the Hotel and then we walk to the Republic Square and there we visited Santa Maria degli Angeli e dei Maritiri. With bus we went to Piazza Venecia. From there we visited the Forums, the Capitol and the Pantheon. After that, we walk to the famous fountain, called “Fontana di Trevi”, there we stayed around 45 min enjoying the environment and taking a lot of photos. I visited once the Fontana di Trevi, but I was too young so I don’t remember anything, and when I went there I really enjoyed it.

On the fourth day we had breakfast early and we took a bus to Vatican, there we visited the museums. It was good. We had free lunch. After having lunch, we visited de Basilica and the Square. There, I climbed the dome too but it wasn’t as taller as the one in Florence. After the visit we took the bus and we went to have dinner.

And the last day... we had breakfast and we visited the Colisseum. On the way, we stopped in Santa Maria la Magiore and in San Pietro in Vincoli for visit the Moses. The visit in the Colisseum it was very nice, because it history is very interessant and personally I liked this tipe of history. After this visit we took a bus and we went to the airport to wait our plane. When we arrived in Barcelona we took a bus too, and it brought us to our school. I couldn’t believe the trip to Italy ended... All this years waiting for it and with a breeze is over.

I will remember this trip always.

Jack Wills is a British clothing brand aimed at university students. The fashion label uses the brand and registered trademark "Jack Wills – University Outfitters" to reflect the inspiration behind the brand.

Jack Wills was founded in 1999 by Peter Williams and Robert Shaw, the former who named the company after his grandfather, Jack Williams. The original store was in Salcombe, Devon located at 22 Fore Street. This original address is often written into the brand's handbook, clothing labels and in-store signs.

Salcombe is quite a weird place to open a store for the university market, since there is not a university in this town.

The brand incorporates aspects of traditional British military and sporting design in its products, and uses a navy blue and pink colour scheme for its packaging and some of its products. The company often houses its stores in historical buildings, such as old pubs or town houses.

The majority of its stores are in the UK, however there are two branches in Ireland, in Kildare and Dublin. The company now owns around 60 stores in the UK and Ireland, the three stores in Hong Kong and the 15 stores in the USA .

Jack Wills' products are branded with a logo of a pheasant with a top hat and a walking stick, known as "Mr Wills". The company publishes "Handbooks" each season: the Autumn Term Handbook, for example, or the Christmas Handbook.

Jack Wills clothing ranges from traditional British formal wear, such as shirts, tweed jackets and blazers, to more contemporary casual clothing: hooded tops, sweatpants, t-shirts and polo shirts. Products such as rugby shirts and luggage are also sold, as are homeware goods and stationery.

Hi class, I'm Elena and now I'm going to talk about my summer holidays.
First I'm going to talk about France, second I'm going to talk about Asturias, Oviedo, and finally I'm going to talk about my last days of summer in Banyoles.
So, let's start!

When the school was finished, I stayed some days in Banyoles, training hard because in the following days of summer I was going to the most important competitions of the year. In July I went to France, in Compiegne. There, those days there were celebrating the European Dressage Championship of Juniors and Young Riders, so I went there with my sister because she was selected to represent Spain in the European. I spent a great week there, with great people of the Spanish team. I can say I've learned a lot of the professional riders.

After France, when I came back by the end of July, I competed in the Catalan Championship, and I’m very happy of the results.

In the end of August, I went to Oviedo the capital of Asturias to compete in the Spanish Championship. I stayed there a week, but it wasn’t a nice week at all, because I fell off my horse, and I hit my head, I don’t remember anything of what had happened, and either, where I was and what I was doing there, I thought it was the last year.

Luckily it was only a scare, the next day I went slowly recovering.
The doctors told me, I won’t ever remember what has happened. Actually I don’t remember the day of the fall, what happened and the hospital. But I can say, now, I’m OK, and I can ride my horses properly.

When I came back from Oviedo, I stayed with my family and my friends in Banyoles, preparing for the school, and wondering to me, why the summer was ending. This year I couldn’t do any travel to England to improve my English, because I had to train a lot, but now, I really want to do a long travel in England or to the United States because I’ve missed it.

I will remember this summer, it was special to me, but it was really nice. Now I’m looking forward for the summer 2014, and we are going to make it unbelievable.

Thanks for your attention.
